Asking for Prayer

So I need prayer...lots of it. I have been offered a job as Director of the Daycare Jake goes to. My Pastor and the existing director both want me to take the job.........I have never been so torn about something in my life. This would be such a lifestyle change for my family....as if we haven't done lifestyle changes before (Guadalajara, NY, med school, etc...) but I would be going from stay at home mom, here with my boys ALL the time (that is both good and bad at times as all you moms know) to a working mom. Now i would pretty much get to make my own schedule and the boys would be there at the school with me, 90 % of the job is a counseling position and so i would love that. And really the only thing I am torn about it not being home with my boys. I go back and forth sooooo much it is insane. I am not even sure why I am even considering it and so that scares me a bit, thinking that the Lord is placing this new thing in my lap. I need your prayer b/c I only want to do what the Lord calls me to do, and that is to be a servant of Him....and is this how and where he wants me to serve? I am having a hard time discerning between his voice and my own so please please please pray that I will choose what is best for His kingdom. I know this is alot and I could go on and on about it, but I will spare you with too many details. Just a deep request for prayer and I know I can count on my friends and family for that! Thank you!! XOXO

So I was reading a friends blog and thinking about how good she is about writing something everyday, even if it is just a little something silly (that's you Mindy) and I loved it. Thanks for the pick me up. So thought I should let you all know that after an absolutely exhausting weekend we are moved into our new beautiful home. We LOVE it and are so happy here already. Jason and I have to thank all of you that slaved over all our junk on Friday...we really appreciate you! We were averaging a bedtime of 1:30 for about 3 or 4 days but our house is almost put together! We have enormous bags under our eyes and our children forgot who we were but hey...it is a home now! haha. Anyone in town is ALWAYS welcome over here ANYTIME...now that I have a house I am proud of I am not ashamed to have people just stop by unannounced....I love it! So please dont hesitate...and those of you out of town.....you are welcome too, we actually have a spare bedroom! I will post pics soon. I now have to make errands according to which part of town I will be on....before we were smack dab in the middle of everything and now...well it takes us 10 mins to get to wal-mart...isn't that pitiful! All for now, I have work to do while the boys nap....those things are just never long enough, I tell ya! Bye for now!

Can you see what I did!?

Been wanting to add a little sparkle to my face for a couple of years now and I finally did it! Still a little red but I am liking it!

How do I get to heaven?

Wow can you believe I am just writing something, I am so not a writer! But I cant pass this up...have to share. So Saturday we were in Wal-Mart...why do we do that to ourselves...anyway we were standing in the checkout line, Jason had gone to check out the $5 movies (as usual), and Jake and I were patiently waiting. Jake looks at me and says "mommy, when I die, how do I get to heaven?" Whoa...is my 3.5 year old really asking me this..already!? I said "well Jake you ask Jesus to come into your heart, and then when you die you go to heaven to be with Jesus." He said "oh". My heart still fluttering, I just kinda let it go....until......I heard Jake kinda whisper under his breath, sitting in line at Wal-Mart, "Jesus come into my heart so I can go to heaven" I couldn't believe what I heard and tears just welled up in my eyes, I gave him and little hug and never said another word...until Jason had finished rummaging thru the movies and then after telling him, we both shared some tears, standing in line at Wal-Mart. Oh the joy...I tear up every time I talk about it...but I could not be prouder of my curious Jake! What a way to start the Easter season!

Boys will be Boys!

Jonas, in the past week, has learned how to crawl out of his crib (he is now in a toddler bed) and this is a picture that Jason took after he had crawled out of his crib and played in his room for a while and then proceeded to come out as if nothing was wrong, cowboy hat securely placed on his head and toothbrush in hand (he loves toothbrushes so they are everywhere in our house) "howdy partner". That boy I tell ya, he is going to get the best of us!

At Lego Land Jason bought the boys some new sward fighting gear (he claims the shield is for himself...to block all the unsuspecting jabs). But this day they were all decked out playing with daddy (mommy tries to play swords, but really I suck at it, they really do hurt) and this snapshot could not be passed up.

Jake comes in and says "mommy, I wanna dress up." As what honey? "A cowboy!" Alright partner lets do it! Whatcha think, does he belong at a hoedown or what?

We busted Jake decoration Jonas' face while they were playing outside the other day. I guess he thought it needed to match his shirt....Jonas was perfectly fine with it all, and Jake thought he was pretty funny!

WOW boys boys boys.....this is going to take more adjustment on my part than I thought!

Our New House!

We Are Home Owners!!!

Yep that is right. We have bought a house! We are so excited!! We will close on it the first of next week and get moved in ASAP. It is a brand new house, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms....a really nice kitchen, huge back yard for the kiddies, two master closets to die for...I have no idea what I will do with all that space in my closet..huh guess I will need more shoes and clothes to fill it up! haha. I have yet to take a picture of our new purchase but will do that in the next day or so and post it for all to see. It has no landscaping so we will have to do that, which could be really fun! This process has been more stressful than I could have ever imagined, so much money gone so fast! But it is all worth it and the Lord has truly blessed us and we are really excited and happy! Just wanted to share and I promise to have a picture very very soon, so check back!

San Diego, CA.....2-23 - 2/28

We spent a wonder few days in the beautiful San Diego California. We had a wonderful time going to the Zoo, Lego Land, and Sea World, and even hitting the beach for a few mins! Good food, good weather, and great company! Thanks Family....love you guys!
Maddox was fearless, just like his daddy! He was born with a little bit of cold sea water in his blood. The boys had the greatest time playing in the sand. What is it about sticky sand that makes little boys just want to roll around and get covered! It was so fun to watch them not have a care in the world! Man I love those 3!! Jason and Jared are complete idiots if you ask me......but they thought they were pretty hot stuff body surfing the near freezing cold water! Crazy fools!!! hahahah. What is going to San Diego with out getting in the ocean they said.....I was at peace about I can tell you that!
Hard to see him, but the boys were facinated with the Baluga (sp?) whales!! They were pretty awesome!
Jonas could not get enough of the Flamingos. He is totally obsessed with birds right now, it is really funny! And isnt he the cutest with that little lunch box!
Look closely , these are ALL Legos! Absoluetly amazing....they all of the Vegas strip, Washington D.C., NY skyline, Mt. Rushmore and lots more, it was unbeliveable the talent, work and detail that went into these!
Can any of you New Yorkers guess what this is???

All boy, proud of his spider!!! haha

THis is what Jake looks like when he has to go....but runs around for ten mins saying, "no I dont have to go mommy"......nice peepee dance son!

Jonas taking Gamma for a ride on his two-wheeler! vroom vroom! A story to make you laugh!......So we thought it would be so fun for Jake to get his face painted. And he wanted to.....we kept saying how cool it would be for him to get a snake (as in the pic behind him) or a spider or a dragon or spider man (you see a trend here right?) well he was insisting that he get a butterfly, he likes butterflies and so why cant he get a butterfly painted on his face??? I told him (very calmly) that butterflies were for girls and that I was not going to get that painted on his face, sorry! He wasn't too happy but let it go. Jason and I left him with my parents so we could go ride a roller coaster (which soon became Jake's first coaster....The Dragon) and we came out to fine him as a puppy! Cute, harmless, boyish and not a butterfly! Needles to say he had the whole bottom part of his puppy dog face licked off in about 20 mins! Since Volvo is a huge supporter of the very fun Lego Land they figured why not make a life size Volvo SUV out of Legos....very cool!
After ramming the boat into the river bank and turning it completely around, Jake decided to revoke his own boating license and let daddy drive. These were cute little lego firemen! These pics are dedicated to future firefighter Uncle Jared!!
Maddox liked this legoman tourist! Lego elephant blowing out water....the boys loved it!

It was a wet and soggy day at the San Diego Zoo. We did not have any days to spare so we just braved it. It was worth it.....GREAT zoo! Looking back, I realized that I got more pics of the animals I was with, rather than the awesome animals we saw in the zoo...haha, oh well!

Seal Beach.....It was really neat to get up close to all these seals that camp out on this beach. The boys really liked watching them.
